Staying Home – Dealing with mobility

One of the most challenging aspects of home care can be mobility. If a caregiver cannot safely move their loved one from the bed to chair, from a wheel chair to the toilet or other seated surface it will not long before the discussion will lead to resident nursing care.

This is avoidable by using a simple tool and technique to transfer. The tool is a secure swivel transfer plate. This amazing device is smaller than a laptop. It secures the feet and allows the weight to be transferred to the plate not the caregiver. The result is a reduction in transfer weight of 90%. Imagine your 170 patient suddenly weight 17lbs. This dramatic reduction in weight permits a safe and easy transfer.
